PUPPY REGISTER
The idea of a ‘Puppy Register’ came to be in 1970 when Section Committee Member
Sheila Baker (nee Hendry) of the Shemaur Shelties, came upon the idea of creating a register in which to place and sell puppies and/or re-home older Shelties.
This has remained a popular but safe way of finding suitable homes for Shelties ever since.
The fee for placing a puppy on the register is £5, regardless of whether it sells via the register or not. Please contact Freda Salmon on the number below, and give her the details such as colour, sex and age, and once she has received the fee she will forward details to the webmaster for inclusion on the site. Also, don’t forget to notify Freda when the puppy has gone to its new home, so that the details can be removed.
Many homes tend to come via members of the breed clubs, and through these Shelties from all over the country live happily and contentedly with owners who love and care for them all their lives.
So, if you are looking to buy a Shetland Sheepdog puppy, or maybe re-home* an older one, please call our ‘Puppy Register Representative’ who will be pleased to put you in touch with a reputable breeder:-
